          The lake it self is perched on a high shelf at 2980 m & is protected by Rara national park . The park covers an area of 106 sq kilometer. The Rara lakes is five kilometer long and two kilometers wide, and it is biggest lake in Nepal .The lake itself is perched as one of the best places in Nepal to see wildlife musk deer, leopards, ghoral, Himalayan black bear and the rare red panda. The park is also a birdwatchers delight, especially during November and April when many species of birds visit during their seasonal migration. Wildlife enthusiasts and admires of natural beauty.
