Makalu
Trekking
Makalu
– Barun national park a virtually uninhabited 1500 km area of eastern
Nepal is very close to virgin wilderness. This remote terrain stretches
east from Sagarmatha (Mt Everest) national park, between high plateaus
of Tibet and the deep subtropical gorge carved by the run River. This
region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture
There are
spectacular views of rugged Himalayans including Mt. Makalu 8563, the
fifth highest peak in the world. Mt Chamlang and Mt Baruntse with in 40
km height peaks descend to the Arun Rivers at 670m.The Makalu -Barun valley
provides stunning contrasts where height water falls cascade in to deep
gorge craggy rocks rise from lush green forest and colorful flower bloom
beneath white peaks. Limbi, Rai & Sherpa are the main habitants in
this area.
It's a long
but fine trek from Hile or Tumlingtar along Arun River to the Makalu Base
Camp in eastern Nepal. On this trek you will go through Arun Valley which
is famous for its unique flora and fauna not only for Nepal but also for
the world. This place still needs your exploration to come out with true
delight and entertainment provided by birds and wildlife. However this
trek is difficulty without previous experience.
